WSP USA Awards – Honoree Presentations

2015 Jody Inglis Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Award

In recognition of the implementation of a successful quality management system, Jody Inglis is the recipient of the WSP USA 2015 Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Award.  With the award of a new housing inspection services contract in the fall of 2013, WSP USA was required to obtain ISO 9001:2008 certification.  Jody Inglis was selected to lead the team in the development and implementation of the project’s quality management system.  Efforts to achieve this goal included coordinating and documenting quality procedures and processes, conducting internal audits and training as well as scheduling and preparing for the ISO 9001:2008 certification audit.  The process culminated with the FEMA Housing Inspection Services project receiving ISO 9001:2008 certification in September 2014.

2014 WSP USA Americas Core Values Team Award

Congratulations to Project Manager, Greg Reynolds and the FEMA Housing Inspection Services Team for winning the 2014 WSP USA Americas Core Values Team Award!  The 8th Americas Awards ceremony was held on April 26 at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda Maryland to celebrate the achievements of the awardees chosen from over 125 competitive submittals for both the Americas Awards and Project of the Year competitions. The WSP USA Inspection Services project team was recognized for its commitment to WSP USA’s core values of integrity, teamwork, excellence, and respect.

2013 Mike Trumble - Quality Manager of the Year 2013

Congratulations to Mike Trumble, recipient of the WSP USA 2013 Quality Award! Mike serves as the Director of Quality Improvement for the FEMA's Housing Inspection Services contract. In this role, he leads the project's quality team and manages all aspect of the quality management program. Mike's commitment to measuring and improving quality performance is crucial to meeting and exceeding FEMA's quality expectations.

2013 Project of the Year Award Finalist, Superstorm Sandy Registration Intake Task Order

Congratulations to Project Manager, Greg Reynolds and the entire team for being selected as a finalist for the Category B 2013 Project of the Year Award. The 8th Americas Awards ceremony was  held on April 26 at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda Maryland to celebrate the achievements of the awardees chosen from over 125 competitive submittals for both the Americas Awards and Project of the Year competitions.  In 2012 FEMA tasked WSP USA to provide disaster application registration and FEMA Helpline assistance after Superstorm Sandy battered the Atlantic Coast.  As a special project under the FEMA Housing Inspections Services contract, WSP USA was asked to mobilize and deploy hundreds of  adjudicated disaster application registration agents to assist FEMA in their call Center.  The WSP USA Disaster Service team is recognized for quickly responding to FEMA’s  in cost effective manner with a high level of customer service.

2012 Project Management Award

The WSP USA Project Management Award recognizes the project manager’s contribution to leadership, project deliverables and client success.  FEMA Housing Inspection Services Project Manager Greg Reynolds is the 2012 recipient of this award.  After Hurricanes Irene and Lee damaged the Gulf and Atlantic seaboards in the fall of 2011, Greg managed the deployment of over 1,000 inspectors to nine states.  In total, Greg successfully managed the inspection services efforts for 23 concurrent task order disaster assignments.  He continues to foster a strong team of specialists who understand the disaster recovery process and meet FEMA's needs for quality and responsiveness.

2011 Project of the Year Award Finalist

WSP USA’s annual Project of the Year competition features the best of the firm’s efforts on behalf of its clients.  The FEMA Housing Inspection Services project was honored to be recognized as a 2011 Project of the Year Award Finalist.  The tornado events of Greensburg, Kansas, and Joplin, Missouri, and the hurricane events of 2011 tested our abilities to serve our customer and satisfy our client under tight deadlines and adverse weather conditions.  Providing assistance to assess the amount of damage suffered as the result of a major disaster is a unique requirement for a WSP USA project.  Our mandate is to ensure our project team provides timely, efficient and effective services with a high level of customer satisfaction to FEMA and the disaster survivor.

2008 Project of the Year Award Finalist

In WSP USA’s program management role with FEMA, WSP USA was tasked with deploying qualified housing inspectors to disaster areas to assess damages to homes and personal property throughout the U.S.  Inspections were documented using state-of-the-art handheld computers containing a WSP USA -developed software program that efficiently and thoroughly described the nature and extent of the damage.  As a result of these efforts, the team was selected as a WSP USA 2008 Project of the Year Award finalist.

2000 Project of the Year in the Studies and Special Projects Category

The FEMA Housing Inspection Services program was the recipient of the 2000 Project of the Year in the Studies and Special Projects Category.  WSP USA deploys inspectors within 24 hours of a Presidential disaster declaration to areas nationwide damaged by hurricanes, floods or other calamities.  Since the first contract in 1995, WSP USA has coordinated responses to more than 110 incidents and completed the inspections necessary for FEMA to process more than 1.1 million applications, often under short deadlines and difficult circumstances.
