2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season Forecast - Update May 31
The 2018 Atlantic hurricane season is expected to have a near-average number of hurricanes and tropical storms, per an updated outlook released May 31 by the Colorado State University (CSU). Colorado State University expects 13 more named storms, six hurricanes and two major hurricanes. This forecast is near the 30-year average for the number of hurricanes and tropical storms in the Atlantic Basin. Below-average sea-surface temperatures are expected to influence hurricane season. Regardless of the forecast, it takes only one storm to claim lives and property. Residents near the coast should prepare each year, no matter what seasonal outlook says. You can read more here:
